    Has Anyone Done This?

I need to change the bulb in the shift/gear selection indicator for the auto but in the RAVE manual it doesn't show how to get to the bulb or remove the plastic surround. Knowing my luck with plastic trim the first attempt to look at how it comes apart will mean all the clips and tabs will break off. So has anyone done this before and got any tips.

It's an easy job, just carefully prise the quadrant finisher, pull the bulb holder and replace bulb

    Remove the transmission

install a flywheel, clutch and manual transmission...

solves a lot of subsequent problems...

I did mine a while ago and can't remember any difficulties. The manual says to unclip the selector panel surround from the rear first, using a piece of card to protect the trim. ??? The bulbholders are prised out with a small screwdriver. Pull out bulb to replace.
Hint: After you replace the bulb and want to test it's fixed, don't rest the globe on the selector panel (like I did ) because it will melt the plastic!

    WTF?

If you mean quik fix, yes its a preventative maintenance thing, no slipping clutch packs, boiling oil, blown bulbs, need to hitch up the skirt to get in and out of the rover......

    Lots of saved manhours there...

and you get to call them man hours cause now its a MANual..
