Normal turbo noise?
Me again,
Problem number 2:
Don’t think this is related. As soon as I accelerate me git this strange squeaking whistles. We first though it’s the belt, replaced that, still makes the noise. I’ve even driven down Parramatta road (short trip) without a belt or fan to check and the whistle is still there (not easy and will not do that again). It sound external to the engine and under heave load (up hill) it stops. Any ideas on what this could be?
Cheers,

Normal turbo noise?
Td5 ?
Check the exhaust manifold for leaks/warpage/broken studs at the head.

I have just developed that very same problem.
Diagnosis - leaking exhaust manifold gasket (probably due to warped manifold). Another brilliant built in design feature!![]()
Well, had tree bots borken and just had it fixed but the noise is still there.

Ive had this problem intermittantly in the past... Typically when I was taking advantage of the Deefers excelent road handling for something so big and giving it curry... Didnt always happen...
Turns out the whislting squeeking noise is passangers who arent used to having so much body roll you can reach out and touch the tarmac on hard corners or expect that you can whang something so big through a round about at 60kph just by judging the oncoming traffic.
I kinda got to liking it, especially when it was the young girls from work..
