click when taking foot of accelerator

Whilst driving my car to work TD5 disco I noticed a slight clicking noise when I take my foot of the accelerator, everything else seems normal. I'm going to get it checked out but am slightly concerned.

Any suggestions on what it could be?

Click from where? Inside, outside, under the car, front or rear?

    Details please.

It sounds like it may be from the front of the car, like I said just discovered it when driving to work and have not got it checked out as yet.

It sounds like a relay clicking over, is it normal? I usually dtrive with the stereo on so it may be normal and I just haven't noticed it before

Continuous clicking or once only? Maybe the dreaded front propshaft double cardan joint.

just the one click i realise it's a fly by wire setup on the accelerator but I have not heard it before

I would hazard a guess and say it is normal as mine does it as well. Sometimes it happens a couple of seconds after I take my foot off the accelerator. I thought it might be the waste gate clicking shut or open but not sure. Comes from the front of the car somewhere and is more noticable with the window down.

Keen to hear how you go though troubleshooting.
'99 Manual TD5 D2.......heap of money spent on it and it has ended

With the new Gen L/R coming out leaking oil was getting "Old School", so they went from that to "clicks", next version will have a "bump" added then it will turn into a "grinding" noise at about 10000 ks on.

This is exactly what my initial thought was, but just thought I'd ask
