That's interesting. I had an ARB bar on my 2001 D2 and it had the recovery eyes (although ARB will tell you that these should not be used for snatch recoveries!)
I fitted a set of recovery points sourced from ARB in WA. These are bolted directly to the chassis rails and great for most straught line recoveries. Angled recoveries require a bit more caution as heavy loads can bend the points.

I got my bar from ARB in Perth and they also fitted those recovery points.
I guess the airbag causes some extra cost but you wouldn't want to be without them.
Particulary after seeing the staged crash between a disco and renault people mover the other day on TV, though sadly in this case the airbags failed to go off and disco looked pretty shabby afterwards
DO NOT FIT RECOVERY POINTS TO THE BULLBAR OF A DII, otherwise you'll set the airbags off when doing a recovery, this goes for any bullbar ARB or others:(
Fit recovery points behind the crush cans or use the standard one:D

Crush cans I can find nothing on those either for D1, or D2 - I have no idea what they are or what they look like.........

Yes that's right....I think. Also you will notice that the crush cans on the D2 are very small especially compared to some other makes of 4wd. I suspect that you could snatch off the bullbar of the D2........however, I would never do it, it's just too expensive to replace the airbags if they do go off.Quote:
