G`day all, does any one know the part number for a set of DBA discs for a Series II Disco, the DBA website seems to be undergoing an update.
The local importer out here in Dubai is useless and can`t be arsed chasing up the part numbers and getting a quote, but will try to get a quote if I can give hime the correct part numbers.
There really is nothing like top notch customer service out here.

Thanks mate, greatly appreciated, will give you un update on your tweak when I get it out in the desert later next week, but 1st impressions are very good, it has improved the mid range power/torque no end.![]()
I have just performed the same change on my D2. This is what I posted in October.....
"I bought the rotors at Autobarn and they were a good price compared to the standard issue. They came in at $158 ea.
The rotors come from DBA Australia and they do have a good website to check what type of rotor you require.
The part numbers are DBA 4528SR & DBA 4528SL. These are the part numbers on the boxes.
On my receipt they are DBA 528SR & DBA 528SL."
I have recently discovered that I was supplied the 4000 series rotor instead of the standard slotted rotor.
The difference....I don't really know. The materials used is most likely the same but I have pretty little colour strips for heat temps...most useful on a FWD
Lyndon.
well, come on Lyndon,,
the improvement is HOW good?
what pads did you use?
did you change them yourself?
what did you have for breakfast?

Yeah.....Ok Pedro....maybe I should have posted this....
"a quick search on here will uncover heaps of advice about non-genuine rotors and pads,,
hi-performance,
low "black crap" pads,
vented,
crossdrilled,
mine will cover the front rims in carbon(?) in about a week,,"
Bring back memories does it
But to your questions..
1. Very Good. Bites better. You have that feeling " this will stop"
2. Bendix 4WD pads. No squealing so far.
3. You know the answer to this one.
4. You don't know the answer......but you could do a search or poll on this.
Cheers.
Thanks Lyndon, I`ll get onto our local idiot this week and see what excuse he can muster for not being able to get me a quote.
The DII brakes are not really awe inspiring, they do stop you when they have to but not with a nice progressive pedal, my 110s brakes are a hell of a lot better than our discos, even with the bigger tyres, but that may just be the difference between an auto and a manual.
I just got a quote back from our local LR spares importer for a set of EBC rotors for our DII and it came in at the bargin price of $705!!!!![]()
I might be white, but at $705 they can shove EBC, I bet if was an Indian the quote would have been a hell of a lot more realistic.
Will be interesting to see how the DBA quote come in.
