    I have had Magnacor for 5 years on my 3.9 without a miss.
    Thundercords is the NSW distributor. they make up the sets on site ( or used to) so can make custom eg if you have moved coil.

    AN auto electrical bloke I used to know said: If you have a multimeter measure the resistance of the lead, it should be 4ohms per foot.

    So I did and all the others were what he said.
    Have just come in from doing that test & by & large 4 ohms per foot is what I get. 50% of the leads are 2' long anyway.
    There was one on the dizzy that didn't come out easily & I pulled the outer from the metal sleeve. It appears as though the 'conductor" is not wire anyway, but a black core, as it certainly conducted the multimeter voltage (carbon coated maybe?) but I was able to fold that back on itself & it seems ok for now, ie no miss.

    Maybe I'll chuck a set of Genuine Parts at it, especially as these have lasted 10 years. Will I be bothered in 10 years time? Probably not.

    Thanks all for your advice & opinions.

    Well, I ordered a set from British Four Wheel Drive in Hobart at 11:57a.m. (Adelaide Time) on Thursday. Picked them up at the Post Office yesterday P.M.

    Maybe they dropped out of the aircraft or Alan paid the Captain to toss them out of his little window as it overflew here???

    Now that is excellent service, as all our mail is usually 1 day behind, because we live 12 km from the CBD. (good olde Australia Post)

    Thanks Alan.

    CBD = central business district

    Typically the business heart of the city.

    I had issues with my standard leads which I ended up replacing with el crappo leads. The el crappos lasted a month before I had the same issue again. I replaced with Magnecore heavy duty ones and I havnt had a problem yet. Yes they are expensive but alot cheaper than replacing the el crappo ones now and again.
