Disco 7th seats
Hi all,
I have a set of leather rear fold up 6th and 7th seats from a Disco. I want to photograph them to sell.
BUT....HOW DO I OPEN THE %#*)#@(*%$ THINGS?
I have pushed all the levers and buttons but can't get them to open in order for me to photograph them in their natural form.
These were never used - is there some special gadget, tool or technique required when they are first put in service, or a transit screw to be removed?
Unfortunately I don't even know what year the Disco was - I think about 2000, but I'm not sure.
Any suggestions gratefully received.
Cheers all,
Paul

Are they off/for a Disco 1, or a Disco 2.
If they are a one just pull the seat out and the leg pops out, very easy.
If it is for a Disco 2, the it's a very different -
Release the green tab between the folded seat and the side of the car. Now until the interlock mechanism is securely locked into the floor pan connections, the back of the seat won't fold up - you may have to stimulate this by using an iron bar or a thick screwdriver.
Once it is securly locked - then there is a lever that releases the seatback - and there you have it.
...........but even when they are installed in the car they are an absolute bastard - especially locking onto the floor pan mounts - I have to bang them quite hard.
I can supply photo's of the D2 ones (Beige) folded and extended if that any help

Post pictures of them folded and I'll be able to tell what they are off D1 or D2
