LT85 gearbox issues
i'm having trouble in selecting second gear on my LT85 box.both when changing up and down.in fact even if the engine is switched off and the 110 is sat on the driveway.
the best way to discribe it would be lumpy. is there any form of adjustment that would make selection easier, without removing the box and spending a fortune.
all the other gears are fine up and down.the oil is changed once a year with the correct grade and is free from metal particles.
any help would be great.
thanks.

G'day All, My LT85 usd to be very notchey especially when the cold (standing overnight etc) but after some use it was kinda sorta allright,(b4 I had it fixed) I notice you are in Scotland, I would be chasing Ashcrofts Transmissions, out here, Maxi-drive,Qld, Mal Storey has made his own replacement selectors for the LT85, he has done some extensive work on my LT85 some 6/7 years ago now, all 3 shafts in the main G/box have tapered roller bearings, I also run Castrol VMX 75/85 (i think) in the G/box it's a special light oil developed for 5 speed G/boxs so far so good anyway cheers Dennis
PS Yes it was.
