Series III long range tank capacity?

    G'day folks,

Can anyone tell me what the capacity of the front mounted long range tank on a series landy is? One source tells me 16 gallons, however I've got no idea if that is US or imperial gallons.

    Cheers.

It is 16 Imperial Gallons - or about 75L. The (aftermarket) one I have though holds just over 80L, since the edges are less rounded than the genuine tank.

Btw - mine is for sale if you are interested.

According to my owners handbook 607324A the fuel tank capacity is 45l for the 88 and 68l for the 109.

    Thanks for the quick reply...

Not sure if I have the mounts for another LR one on the passenger side.

If anyone has a station wagon (rear) tank though I'd be quite interested.

It is quite easy to weld the front bracket on - the rear one should already be there, as the body mounts to it (the underseat tanks are identical L-R btw).

I had to move the brackets forward on my IIA 109" as they were all fitted with 10gal tanks originally.
