I have an engineered extra seat for a Defender in my garage.

I also have the rear sideways seats out of my County.

    All are for sale.

Why don't you wait a bit and get a new Defender forward facing rear seat (in fact you could get a new middle row seat as well).

Thanks Ron, will keep that in mind for when the time comes.

Why don't you wait a bit and get a new Defender forward facing rear seat (in fact you could get a new middle row seat as well).
I have considered that and if the timing was right I would, it still maybe a possibility, but one of the reasons for selling the D3 is because I have started a business from scratch again and had to look at overheads, and that is a large one. To buy a new fender I may as well keep the D3, hence why I am looking at 03 onward D2's and Fenders. Dependant on how things work out I may still keep the D3 ( uphill battle with SWMBO), but looking at options now. If I could sell it tomorrow I would as debt would be halved overnight. That said, the new fender would be the perfect option/ replacement as it ticks all the boxes,

    Regards

Try Van Quip in Brisbane, they do the mod plates as well, don't know if they do a single seat, however to fit a double seat into a D2 it was less than LR, and indeed cheaper than the price difference between a 5 seater and 7 seater.
