When I think about it 99% of the time a vehicle is really stuck they are pulled out backwards. Whereas if you can actually recover them forwards then it is generally just a little tug to get them moving again.
So perhaps anything in this thread is okay for a light front pull. Especially when used with a bridle.

Actually no it isnt, prep for flight takes on average 3 hours, loading it onto the herc then takes an hour while your work is checked over then another half hour to tie it down, so thats 4.5 hours

paletizing a landrover for lifting... 30-40 minutes.
hooking it up to a crane/underslining a chopper another 20 minutes or so if you didnt have the forethought to presling the pallet before you put the rover on it about 60 seconds if you did..

nope its not rated but it is well bolted, supported by 4 bolts well spaced and evenly distributed across the chassis.


in the event of a snafu the bent forwards legs collapse and since this thing is not structurly critical to the vehicle if you bend it its unboltable and turfable. and then you get to spend some time going... ok I bent something there, what can I do to make this easier for the winch/tow vehicle?

they were not originally designed for recovery but have been used in this way.

I think I will order the 4x4intelligence recovery points. They are about $120. This topic has always been a confusing one with so many opinions and options. So those that have bought these points, are you happy with them?
