    Recommended shockies for D1 Disco?

Recently replaced my shockers with AC Delco shockers front and rear. They are crap, to say the least. I am getting pretty ****poor damping, especially on the fronts.

I am going to get some others, has anyone got any recommendations for a well-damping shocker to replace these with? I don't want to spend a mint, and I don't do much off-road work. Don't have a suspension raise either.

    Thoughts and approx costs?

if you arent doing anything out of the ordinary you could do worse than use genuine shocks... they actually are a pretty good shockie for general use IMHO.

As said you get what you pay for..

I got a better run out of genuine shocks then I did the old man EMU, but I'm loving the Konis with Bilstine steering damper.

Mine came with Bilstein shocks and steering damper with lifted 2in King springs. It rides stiffer than many other Discos I test drove but I quite like it.

Ironman Nitrochargers are great if you want to save some money. I fitted some a few months ago and I can't believe how much better she handles.

In fact I have no reason to buy anything more expensive...yet.

You could try Ridepro. Not to expensive and have a bigger bore than OME so don't fade as fast. Quality seems ok also.

So, are you saying the AC Delcos were real shockers?........sorry

Bilsteins absolutely TRANSFORM the handling !!!! not cheap though......but they do last well.......100,000 klms if you don't thrash them.

BTW - did you get the AC Delcos off Ebay?....the dealer ad on there???......they sounded "too cheap to be any good to be true"
