    bought an electric one from Zenith Engineering. Tacho $195 Sensor $119.70. Sensor replaces a plug in the bottom of the injector pump, simple electrical hookup. Genuine Isuzu items, tacho is 85mm o/d x 110 deep, reads to 4000.

    JD, I will send you some piccies to your e-mail. I have issues with the over-complicated and difficult to understand ( to a computer illiterate) method of posting pictures on this site. Four clicks of the mouse does it from MyPictures on Windows through Yahoo e-mail. The part nos. are :- Tacho 8972403710 and sensor 8944402810. Zenith Engineering are the Isuzu industrial and marine engine distributor in Q. E-mail is info@zenith.net.au

    In my rangie I'm using the alternator terminal, through a home-made frequency-voltage converter to the stock rangie rev counter which was monkeyed to work on DC.

    A simple pot on the frequency-voltage converter circuit board allows adjustment.
