    Does anyone know what auto was used is the rover 3500?

    I'm 99% sure that the P5B, & the P6B, both used the Borg Warner 35. That's what my books say.

    From memory I'm 99% certain that it was a BW 35 also, FWIW.

    The P6 used the BW35 and the BW65 on the "facelift" models. There are sketches in the workshop manuals showing the outside of the boxes and their identifying features,

    The SD1 manual was the LT77
    D'oh just read Auto so forget that then

    series 2 sd1s used the gm180, similar to th180 used on early '80s holdens.
