    Help, Alternator problem?

    The alternator is not charging on the '94 Classic.
    It is a Magnetto Marrelli.

    Dash warning light dosent come on when ignition is turned on and it is not charging when running. Recently had an engine change......perhaps a wire not connected?

    Does anyone have a diagram of the connecting wires?

    Anyone with ideas??

    TIA

    Just a thought, while reading an old fault finding guide it was suggested that the charging/warning light is part of the charging circuit and when charging is a problem check to make sure the bulb hasn't blown.

    Thanks Brad and Mangie

    Those wires are there, I'll just have to rip it off and replace the rectifier and brushes.
    Will see Jim at Kev's tommorrow he should be able to put me on the right path........I hope..........just dont want to fork out for a new one at the moment
    Mangie;
    I have a vague memory that someone has told me some time about the warning light blowing and not being able to complete a circuit, will check that out too.

    Sounds like a probability Brad because it doesn't come on at all, just looked up my Rave manual, doesn't seem like a hard job, will try that first.
