i tried to get the ebc 2000 and ran into a brick wall. i am now using the latest generation bendix 4wd pad and have had no squealing at all. the pads have less fade than the old pads IMHO as well. the latest generation pads have a groove in them and it seems to work well. this is on my disco.

The name of a guy in geelong is Cardigan Engineering the man practicly re wrote the book on range / Land rover Brakes.
He is no bull and he realy knows his landy's.
he is only a small workshop but he is a busy one you will have about a weeks wait.

does the lights only come on when turning a corner?? if this is the case there may a broken wire at the sensor with the wheel at the straight ahead position everything is fine but when you turn the wheel the wire pulls apart.

If you have a multimeter test the sensor and move the wire around if the reading changes then you found the problem,also jack the car up and check the wheel bearings for any play,the software is by wabco as well if you were near wollongong I could clear the code for a beer
and do not buy your parts from the stealer unless you are rich.

There are a couple of different types of genuine pads for a D2 believe it or not. I had this exact same problem. Took Graeme Coopers a couple of goes to get rid of my brake squeal. But success on the second go and no squeal for over 15K now.

Graeme Coopers 02 95502689. Ask for Ward or Graeme.

This may help a bit, the system although a pain doesn't actually stop things from working, when the ABS/TC lights come on they are only on to tell you there's a fault logged on the ECU, your ABS/TC are still working.

Try this next time it happens

Stop turn engine off

Open drivers door

Pull key from Ignition

wait 15 seconds

Put key into ignition

Close drivers door

Restart car.

This is the reset sequence for resetting faults.

If they don't go out then there is an actual fault with one of the sensors, also if you get all 3 lights on ABS/TC/HD then there is a LANS fault or a faulty sensor and you will need to get it checked and cleared.

LANS fault (no communication between electrical devises) It's a common fault and usually comes with other faults in the car.

Certain brake pads trigger this and it doesn't always mean it's aftermarket ones, it will still happen with genuine pads and rotors.

From what i've heard the EBC (slunnie uses them) are the best pads to use with genuine rotors.
