    Lost my cool

    Chaps,
D2 TD5 had new coolant and flush, F""""" maechanic left expansion tank cap off and after about 100klms of driving temp gauge rose.I stopped immediatly , let cool down added water and car maintained normal temp.
When got home water had reduced dramatically, then proceeded to bleed system, and refill .TYest drove car, no loss of water and normal temp was maintained.
Checked for bubbles in expansion tank, nothing appeared, nowater in oil and car seems to run ok.
Should I look for any nasty signs. My mechanic says it should be OK, but will need another dose of coolant before going far.

    Any suggestions???
Im really p'd off taht you cant trust mechanics to do the right thing any more
    Annoyed

for starters get a pair of vice grips and attach them to your mechanics testicles.
