Welcome to the site. I'm a new kid on the block also.
You know - the thing about being a Land Rover owner is that you are always going to cop crap from the majority of 4Wheeler Drivers - well I seem to cop it anyway. So it is a relief to get onto this site and talk sensibly with over like-minded people.
But hell, it is disturbing when I see one Land Rover owner giving to my "comrades in arms" over their particular model of Land Rover.
Mate, it is not the model of Land Rover that counts - it is the man or woman behind the wheel that is important. It's the "family" to which we belong - damn, tell me any other make of vehicle where passing vehicle wave at each other! When I meet another Land Rover driver on the highway, parked in the supermarket car-park or in the scrub that bloke or lady is someone I know, immediately, that I can relate to them - and I would bet my left-nut that they are also ready for a "Gidday" and a bit of a yarn. That's what Land Rover owners - regardless of model - are about. Just good people.
I guess I don't expect to see some of this family being bagged out because of carpets or a few luxuries. Hell, my old bloody County had carpets and leather seats! - and young man it was a damned sight better vehicle than my past two Defenders.
As one new bloke to another - check out the threads, get to know the people here and let them get to know you before slinging it.
Don't mean to offend you - just passionate about Land Rover owners copping it.
Well with all of that I reckon I had better get off the soapbox.![]()

Perhaps deep down you know you would rather own a mighty Defender.
