Yeah they will traction wise, but you just wont have as much clearance under the diffs, which you need in some situations.
245 muddies will allow you to get out amongst it...dont worry about that.

I have never had rubbing issues with 265/75/R16's
Dobbo
Dont know how your D2 is built but I get some rubbing even with a 2 inch lift. I havent adjusted by steering stops so at full flex and hard lock I do getting rubbing...
What sort of driving do you do?
Angus
i cant aford a lift for a few months so i can only out on what wil fit under there now. with 245/70 i scrape the diffs a little but nothing major, where would you need more clearance.
Don't really understand the question, I have driven sand, rocks and mud, the only rubbing I ever got was once the rear drivers side flex the guard slightly, we have tried but the one off phenomena could not be replicated again. A bit different to the rubbing you describe. Yes I have traversed some very ordinary bush tracks at the same time.
Hmm..guess it doesnt matter that much. I didnt get the lift to clear the tyres...it was mainly cause I had to change the springs to deal with weight carrying. A lift was just a bonus.
Dobbo - got any pics of your disco? Wouldnt mind seeing what it looks like with standard springs.
