Because the bottom of the bar is angled, and the winch needs to sit on something flat, I had a 'V' shaped bracket made up by my mechanic to sit behind the bar (supporting the base of the winch).

The bolts go through the bottom of this bracket into the winch, and the bracket is welded into the behind of the bar. You need to take the bar off of the car to do this, but that is not difficult apart from the weight of it all.

It was a pretty simple job for him. Can't give you a cost because I had other work done at the same time - sorry.
Hey Spudboy - I dont see any pix? Should I?

I didn't take any more because there wasn't much to see, it is all internal behind the main bar.

You'll have to visualise it from my fabulous description!
