Replacing of Defender rear sliding windows with lift up windows

    Hi all,

I want to replace the rear sliding windows of my defender with lift up windows like those often found on ute canopies. Anyone know of any suppliers that have this sort of thing made up to fit defenders? If not, anyone know of a company that could make them up? Metro Melb preferable.

    cheers,

    Wayne

Have a talk to caravan and boat parts suppliers. Both caravans and especially boats often have to have special size windows made, and these suppliers should be able to tell you who to talk to. I got windows made for the boat I was building in Melbourne, but that was over thirty years ago and I can't remember the name of the outfit or where it was.

You could try Lowline in Kilsyth or The Basin. They make a good quality canopy and I am sure could make what you need.

there is also a trailer/canopy place beside the new Bunnings on Clarice Street, Boxhill. It is off MIddleborough Rd and within walking distance of my place. i might try to swing in past and see if they can do it to my Defender........ and pass the info on to you!
