    If you make a special tool out of those bent end little needle nose pliers( The dollar ones you get in sets), you can get to both sides of the fuel quick connector to push them inwards.
    I bent the points of the needle nose inwards, and it was a snack to undo the fuel pipes.

    It is stainless steel not aluminum.

    I did mine not long ago. Completely removed it from the vehicle which I did not find hard and then the job was easy on the bench.

    As for the big hose clips at each end, for $20 I now have the proper tool for them.
