Consider this:
My truck normaly starts and stops instantly when the key is turned.
HOWEVER, If I have my 12 volt fridge plugged into the cigarette lighter socket in the dash it can take up to 30-40 seconds for the engine to stop when the key is turned off! I can remove the keys, lock the doors and walk away before the engine stops. It scared the crap out of me the first time it happened. The second time I unplugged the fridge while the engine was running on and it stopped instantly. It mussent take much of a stray current to keep the fuel solenoid pulled in and keep the engine running.
