At the end of the day you are not going to get a gobfull of charge current over say 6-7m of cable anyway! At best the current will be around 10-30A at best which is OK anyway.

    So, to those who doubt me - what do you think the maximum current is in a trailer socket? 5 amps, 10 amps, maybe 15 amps or more??

    Guys... Just splice in an old 2cent piece to act as a circuit breaker.
    Failing that, try some Alfoil, twisted to make it fit the fuse holder!

    Ah, OK.....I was thinking there was history there like the guy on the other forum that Drivesafe had a little spat with over basic electrical theory and dual battery controllers.

    Hey Teks how much current will a flat, but in good condition battery draw when its flat?
    How much current will a trailer plug carry when the battery is flat?
    I am not being a smart **** but have seen a disco engine bay black and burnt due to too small wiring used for charging a battery. The owner never had a problem for some time..until the battery went flat and the current it needed to start the charge made the wiring into a heater, then flames. admittedly this is only for a short time but it did happen.
    This was wired in by a reputable person..or so I am told
