Going from a Rangie to a Fender would be hard, especially an old fender that isnt too old and too high in the K's though would be rough and leaky and in need of TLC for $20k.

I would at least look at a late Disco 1, you can get good ones, 300TDI auto or Manual for under the $15k mark and you can do plenty for them relativly cheap and they are much more refined and comfy but a bit short on room.

Im not knocking the defenders, Ive made that mistake before as a stir and I wont do that again but I have spent lots of hours behind the wheel of 110's, a 130 and my Disco and I would take the Disco any day.

I didnt think the 130 was all that hard to park, no harder than an 80 series cruiser or Pootrol and the ride was superior to anything Ive driven though they are mega pricey for even a 300TDI one still and are a bit hard to find for sale.

110's are just the same thing but a bit shorter and if you need an off road school bus I couldnt think of anything better and youve got the choice of engines the Isuzu, 200TDI, 300TDI and the TD5.

They are all good but dont discount a Disco, they can be just as much a tractor as a defender if set up properly though they do need to be set up unlike a defender that is just add tyres.
