Just to let everyone know how well the conversion to Gasmaster leads and Iridium plugs has gone. Seem to be using less gas on long runs and definitely better performance, especially when overtaking.

I recommend it to anyone, even if only running on petrol. Thanks for everyone's advice,

    Cheers Charlie

Do you mind me asking how much the gasmasters were?

I seem to remember a set of magnacores are about $160-ish?

Did you get them online if so where from?

I just turfed my Magnacore leads. I vaguely remember when I bought them they said something about a lifetime warranty on them , but I don't have my receipt.
5 years later, I noticed the outer casing on all leads at the spark plug end were splitting where they gently bend. Obviously the heat from the exhaust manifold has caused this. Gone back to Bosch, cheaper and will probably get the same life out of them

I can see your point I have a set of bosch sport something or other at $5 each they have been great up to know I just wonder about the internal resistance against the likes of gasmaster & magnecore?

    Less resistance bigger spark, supposedly.
If some one could show me how to measure Ohms on my $10 meter I could check one
I suppose you would have to look at insulation too so your good spark doesn't earth out.

    Anyone ever done a comparison?

I just found this info on a US site, interesting.

    Moroso's Ultra 40 (40 ohms/ft

    MSD Ignition 8.5mm Super Conductor (40-50 ohms/ft)

    Accel Thundersport (150 ohms/ft)

    Taylor 8mm Spiro Pro (350 ohm/ft)

Aurora ignition wire set (400 ohms/ft)

    Wiretec Magstar Gold (800 ohms/ft)

NGK Resistor Spark Plug Wire Set (2600 ohms/ft)

Mitsubishi factory wire sets (3000++ ohms/ft)

Car Quest brand wire sets (3000++ ohms/ft)

    Magnecor KV85 (6000++ ohms/ft)

This is the site, an obvoiuse magnecor hater but you can't argue with Ohms, it's the Law !
