Is that with the car level or flexed up to the maximum?
Reason being I was getting slight rubbing with standard shocks and 265/75/R16's on full flex. Simex's don't play nicely and would just destroy the rear guards in a matter of seconds at full flex if they rubbed.

That was at med flex. They seemed to fit alright.

Yeah the JT2 33x10.5's are a pretty common fitment to the D2's these days on standard offset rims. I think I measured mine at 260mm wide on 7" rims when I ran them.

How much of a lift did you have? did they work well?

4" so it wasn't a drama for me, though the vast majority run the 33x10.5-16 with a 2" lift - but they are on standard offset rims which may be different to Sunraysias.

I think that they're a good tyre. Most of the traction is mechanical traction so they can be a bit slippery on smooth surfaces, but apart from that they're good. The bias construction will give you flat spots after parking too, so they will drive you insane for the first few minutes of driving.
