    DIY Window tinting

    Whilst searching for hints on how to spray paint a batmobile found this,

    Have never heard of them, but they appear to be in melbourne, especially interesting is the pricing for precut DIY
    $110 for a 4wd. Just had another look they even have an onsite video on how to do it

    DIY tinting isn't that hard i did my XB wagon years ago,

    Anyway this may be of help to those seeking to get into the 'dark side ' .
    I know there was a Q asked about tinting and the legalities recently, so hopefully this may help as well.

    I inquired about the diy tinting but in the end got them to do it, its hard to do properly as most of the purple, bubbled and crazed diy jobs you see around. But using their tint film and some patience i'm sure you could do a good diy job.

    Yes, i agree the purple people eater tints all look like they were done by a group of weekend experts after a night on the slops.

    I think the secret to it is to use a good slippery soapy mixto the film doesn't stick right away, thats how i did the xb, seemed wrong having a lot of soapy mix but it never bubbled.
    I suppose DIY may be ok, when you talking about a cheapie, but on the high end of vehicle pricing perhaps itwould be better with the professionals.

    I've had 3 cars tinted by the Tint Prof... great job everytime!
    They also guarantee their work for life (of ownership) if there is a prob they'll do it again free.
    They even lend you a car while they do it!
    About $400 for an average 4wd (from memory) I reckon I'd let them do it!

    I must admit it is a real professional looking website. Tips tricks and the like, the MD must have a degree in customer service. Something a lot of other groups forget about.
