Amazing..... I ran basically this sme thred 6 weeks ago and saw every brand here pounded into DUST!
    I'm going with Billies.
Not sure who it was that suggested Monroes.....they are the biggest heap of s##t! Lasted on my D2 just on 12 months and they are truly shagged. Do I do truly 'Hard' stuff...no. But I so use my 4wd.

Avoid not fit for a King Springs (look at other threads here) and go for Lovelles!!! Mine cost $350 the lot (cost price).

Oh, and regarding the shocks... I am running OME - I have heard lots of BAD comments about OME and how they lock up, in-fact I have seen examples. They were on my rig when I purchased it and have been really good so far.

Yeah Just ask Ken how good they are
and Tombraidr Mike is trying to get his Bikes Upgraded with them as he Loves Tough dog stuff

I run TD's only cause they came with the Deefer..but I wouldn't have them by choice as they don't travel long enough for me and $160ea isn't really a budget shock..

Pro-comp are a budget shock and are quite long travel..Stu (stusgonesailing) says they are used heaps up nth as they handle the corrugations well.
Buy from the UK are heaps cheaper..

I run Pro Comps in the rear of my fender and love them.11.1" travel no need for pin to eye converters, cheap and have never had a problem.

I run OME 80 series up front and never had any dramas with them either.

I use OEM style Sachs Boge. They are cheap at $105 to say $120 and give the best ride of ANY shock.
But they are only black so you lose bling points.
    Works for me.
Disco club recently went over Canning. Only car without shockie problems was an 87RRC with standard shocks. He loaned one of his original spares to a Nissan who had seized a yellow one. Its still going.

I am also running the longer bolt in ProComps front and rear. Only been in a few weeks, so far I am very happy with them.

Link to supplier below, very happy with his service.

If you want to buy Gabriels, they are on Ebay branded as AC-Delco for $85. They are gas. They may have different valving but I doubt it.
This looks a bargain to me, or should I say its what USA shocks should cost, not the inflated prices the local agents charge for Procomps etc, compared to the US prices.
