Best budget shocks for 2" lift??

I've searched through heaps of threads regarding this topic, by all accounts Konis and Billies are the best for a Disco..........but are exxxxxpensive.

Does anyone here run EFS, Dobinsons or Pro Comp? Any opinions? I'm not gonna be doing any hard core driving on account of my Disco being my daily driver but do load her up when going on wekend trips.
I want to achieve better ground clearance with reasonable articulation. I have SLS rear so that should take care of load carrying capabilities.

    Thanks for any advice
    Cheers, Phill

I fit Dobinsons to D2 's when the customer flinches at the $ for Billies or Konis. So far so good, both have been on extended trips, and they have no complaints.

I've got a Ironman suspension lift on my S2 V8 and i'm pretty impressed with it. got about 80mm lift allround with 10mm spacers in the rear.

despite the slagging you hear about ironman suspension i can honestly say they have been really good to deal with to date (supplied and installed spacers to the rear at no cost simply because i requested them!!).

i have taken it away and flexed it up and i think it performs quite well.

feel free to PM me if you want a more long winded opinion

A number of guys are having success with the Procomps when using them for extra articulation, dont know how they would go with lots of corrugations though.

The initial outlay for Bilstiens is high, BUT they will outlast cheap shocks by about X3 and then they can be rebuilt for the cost of of said cheap shocks and you benefit from the excellent performance of the Bilstiens that whole time, money well spent, Regards Frank.

I'll be able to let you know about Ironman suspension after friday. I'm getting my lift fitted then. Apparently they've improved a hell of a lot over the last few months.

Probably not the choice of most people on this forum, but I have Rancho RS9000X, a 9 stage adjustable shock. These were $125 each. I bought these cause I too have self leveling rear bags but with 2 inch blocks. The Ranchos gave me better articulation over the previous OME's that were on before the lift.
