It doesn't sound like a voltage sensing. And since I dont have my ingram catalogue at home...

But, there are other methods you can use to wire it in, apart from ignition switch and whatnot. If you do use the ignition switch be sure to pick the ignition supply that cuts out on crank, otherwise the solenoid will be in while cranking (leading to overheating of your cabling if your primary battery doesn't have enough to start the vehicle). As well as the draw from the second battery drawing from both while cranking.

Forgive me if I'm stating the obvious.

Dont forget to fuse/circuit breaker anything from your secondary battery! Preferably twice, once at the battery, for the large cable, and then again where ever you add accessories! If you're anything like me. I have a cable run the length of my Rocky, all the way from battery to trailer plug. Any accessories, like radio, cb, fridge outlet etc etc are fused where they come off this cable. That way when one has a problem it doesn't effect the rest.

hehe already bought the fridge some time ago... as an 'essential' for camping so no money saved there!

yeah i come across stuff regularly computerwise one job i had i could keep up with the amount of hard disks i could get! still got several knocking about... even after using 6 in the htpc

i already had a small compressor... but i have had permission to get a new one so i'll use that opportunity going to pick on up shortly

i thought i was being quite generous letting you sort the problems out before i looked at it! tut .... you just cant please some people!

    Thanks

    Steve

Ive got mine set upso both batts crank the engin as for cable joining them its over kill for what it is and this way i have more than enough power to drive the truck out of water if i stall using the starter and first low
