Can't help you with your question, but I would take it back to the installer and get them to rectify the tank installation, surely it wouldn't be legal for the petrol tank to foul on moving parts.
My petrol tank is mounted inside the rear quarter panel and can't see how it can hit the wheel with going over bumps etc,
The mech and I put 4inch (heavy tow) springs on the back of the wifes 98 disco, and it looked silly. Not to worry ! we then swaped the front springs for the old back ones , when we sobbered up it looked a treat and it works. The disco rides/travels well cross country, on the tarmac and tows the behemoth 3/4 horse float nice and level.
Although my 5 year old son did have trouble getting in for most of the year.

When I'm here I want to be out there.
Thanks for the help everyone - I'll let you know how it went once I get them installed in the new year!
Thought I would try Kings Springs after reading this post, on the Disco.
Very happy with them for standard ride height. The fronts are Defender standard, which allows for the weight of the ARB roo-bar. I measured the ride height before and after; the front right was lifted 60mmand all corners are within 5 mm of each other now
The average lift all round from the tired old originals, was 40mm.
Handles superbly now!![]()
