Ive had positive experiences with Kings 'lowering' springs...

The seller claims that they are 2 inch lift, which lifted his car 3-4 inches?!

My main question IS! because of my LPG conversion my car has had a 50L fuel tank installed behind the RHR wheel.
I have recently installed 265/75R16 tyres, and they now rub against the tank while offroading or going over speed bumps.

As I only intend on lifting the car with springs at this stage, will they lift the car and the fuel tank clear of the tyres?

I have heard terms like chassis lift and body lift, and I dont understand the differences.

In normal driving, you'll find that you'll have better clearance to your tank.

Off road on flex will still be a problem unless you extend your bump stops down.

Can't help you with your question, but I would take it back to the installer and get them to rectify the tank installation, surely it wouldn't be legal for the petrol tank to foul on moving parts.
My petrol tank is mounted inside the rear quarter panel and can't see how it can hit the wheel with going over bumps etc,

I would say the new oversize tyres are having an affect on clearance - they're nearly 70mm difference in diameter over the original size.

    Oversized tyres would do it!!!

AND no amount of spring lift will prevent it without other changes to the vehicle...

The mech and I put 4inch (heavy tow) springs on the back of the wifes 98 disco, and it looked silly. Not to worry ! we then swaped the front springs for the old back ones , when we sobbered up it looked a treat and it works. The disco rides/travels well cross country, on the tarmac and tows the behemoth 3/4 horse float nice and level.
Although my 5 year old son did have trouble getting in for most of the year.

Thought I would try Kings Springs after reading this post, on the Disco.

Very happy with them for standard ride height. The fronts are Defender standard, which allows for the weight of the ARB roo-bar. I measured the ride height before and after; the front right was lifted 60mm and all corners are within 5 mm of each other now The average lift all round from the tired old originals, was 40mm.

    Handles superbly now!
