I fitted the DBA 'Standard' series, slotted rotors front and rear and Bendix 4WD Pads all round on my 1999 Defender TD5.
Make sure you get the correct rears, I had to measure mine to be sure, and they are only slightly different in diameter and offset...
- plus a full bleed and replace the brake fluid.
- also note
I ended up replacing all the hub bearings and seals.
mainly as a precaution,
- but when the first one was removed the seal was suspect and had let water into the bearing races, which were just starting to deteriorate.
- and one of the rear seals was leaking diff oil into / out past the hub.
This caused me some issues, as not having ever done hubs previously, or the parts to do the job properly at the time was frustrating (and I was going away shorty after this was meant to be done)
So plan well ahead, and make your own mind up about the bearings.
All said and done, replacing the bearings and seals gives me some piece of mind knowing that all that stuff is in top condition.
Plus I know how to overhaul my hubs now, if I need too!
Have since done some heavy city driving / braking, and I'm quite happy with the brake setup.
No Squealing at all... yet? Pulls up even better than the factory setup.
I'm going to keep an eye on the rotor wear rate with these pads.
