I'm, genuinely intersted as to why not use fish oil? if its anything other than the lovely stench?
I've cut up vehicles years after being resprayed, generally because they've been bent, and see what the oil does to the insides of the panels, only thing better is a form of bee's wax, that's sprays on yellow, it doesn't run nor stink, but fish oil is still great rust preventative
you don't see many rusty fish, do you?
We had some of these electronic gizmos fitted to our older trucks at work.
Must have worked well, as quite often, great lumps of rusty metal used to fall out from under and inside the vehicles.![]()

I think you misunderstood me when I said I wouldn't have used Fish Oil.
I didn't mean to imply that I would never use Fish Oil, I was trying to imply that because I had the E.R.P.S. I was curious enough / complacent enough to see how that worked before using any sort of oil on the doors etc.
I used Lanolin because that's what I first saw at the shops and I know of others have recommended it. If I'd seen Fish Oil first then I would have picked that up instead.
I don't have the system installed on my Defender for one reason - I called the RACQ technical department, and they kindly advised me that they had tested it on some of their patrol vehicles over a period of time, and they saw no difference between the vehicles fitted with the system and those without it.
I would have paid the money for the system if I thought it would prolong the life of my vehicle, and i hate spraying Waxoyl into it every year.
