Thread: noob electrical question part 2

The brake controller needs a brake light connection,,
they say to use the connection on the pedal,, but they have never seen under a D2 dash,,

can I use the trailer plug brake light connection?


is voltage drop a concern with this --
and--
the wire from the controller to the brake connection on the trailer plug itself????

When we used to wire them up at the caravan joint I used to just T it off the brake light switch but it shouldnt be a problem grabbing it from anywhere along the circuit as it only senses when to activate the controller and doesnt (shouldnt) use that to power up the magnets.
