I have never experienced this and I have 2 Bosch alternators, but my signal wire goes back to a unichip under the seat , then forward to an amp on the LH guard, and all is shielded cable earthed at both ends.PhillipA, thanks for the heads up re Bosch products! You refer to coax cables for the distributor wiring - low voltage, I assume. Do you suggest a shielded cable for both of the leads from the dizzy amp to the coil?
The first I heard about it was from Graeme Cooper about 10-15 years ago, so it is a long known and well known problem.
I think only the signal lead from the amp is necessary ( colour white/black) , The other is 12v feed. You can get single core light coax from Jaycar. Probably best if you route the new coax back across the engine ( along the path of the injector harness) and then forward to the coil.
