I would like to share a different design I made. RHS 100x50x6mm, horizontal position. Your are real sliders, mine are sliders/steps with chequer plate on top:............[end quote]
Another design - these are step/sliders that can be removed in minutes and can then be used (with appropriate couplings) as a solid tow bar, either front or back.
Disregard the rest of the 'customising' but note the square section recovery points on the bull bar which also double as the attachment point for the solid tow bar.

Hi Roger,
I had forgot about your design of sliders. Very much worth considering. I also would appreciate a few more photos. Thanks.
xtreme thats a fair bit of custom work youve done there did you fix it a part it out.
Click on the thumbnail and it should enlarge Baz.
Don't seem to be able to post large photos direct when not on another URL.
Agree though, it's still not a real good photo to see the design. Although I could post another taken about half an hour earlier when the car had its wheels pointing up!

Im planning on building a set of sliders/steps for the 130. Mostly a step for all these short people who keep wanting to get in. I dont really need a rockhopping sill protector, assuming I can get Al radius section 3mm box for the price of steel does anyone see a drama with knocking them up out of Ally to save weight... I would guess 3mm wall by say 100x50 with enough bracing to chassis wouldnt actually offer that much less sill protection than steel and would prob be 1/3 the weight and no corrosion issues?
any pitfalls, people who have done it all before????
