Why do you want to put lpg in your aircon. Maybe I've missed something wouldn't be the first time.
I've collected enough fittings to recharge my formerly R12 aircon with hydrocarbon gas. The r12 leaked out about 10 years ago.
Is there a common oil which can be substituted for the lubricant in the system? My pump was off a few months back and appears to contain none.

In addition to what the other guys said. To convert an R12 system to the R134a which all the commercial guys want to use will cost me big bucks. The LPG is cheaper, easier to get, more environmentally friendly (i.e. not an ozone deplete) and compatible with the parts I already have.
Yes I am waiting for Ladas to chime in with the oil, but he might not be the only knowledgable one.![]()

I'll be doing this soon too, so would be keen to know how it all works out Dougal.
