    Turbo Modulator update

    Hi Guys
    Went across to Mandurah yesterday,first real drive since replacing the turbo modulator some time ago.
    Totaly different vehicle.
    Actually pulls from 80ks on hills in 5th,the cruise control isnt "hunting" as much,and the best part the fuel gauge is back to lazily moving down instead of behaving like its a V8.

    turbo modulator update

    Yeah! the slightest hiccup in the turbo system in a 2.5 L motor hauling that weight spells gutless.
    When it`s working properly no worries but it doesn`t take much to cause problems.
    For all members out there,if your TD5 won`t pull the skin off a rice custard check your turbo pipes,modulator etc.first of all.

    Good that your problem is solved.

    A local 01 TD5 D2 isn't so lucky - dead modulator, oil everywhere at the ecu, turbo hoses very soft althought not delaminating yet and the fuel pump breathed its last feeble breath immediately prior to my fuel pressure gauge being hooked-up. 150K and only had the fuel pressure regulator and 1 ABS sensor replaced so the owner is still happy.
