What type of system do you have fitted now ? there are the impco type, the gas ring complex and the sequential injection. Could also fit a gas research gas carby directly to the intake plenum - really depends on the $$ you want to spend.
Hay Landy lovers .. can anyone give me an idea of what to do for a costom intake for a 3.9 on gas? if anyone has pics of there engine bay on gas can you post up please.. ill take a pic after work today so you's can see mine.
i am having issues because the original pipe is cut..

sorry didnt explane myself that well.. the gas side of things is fine it is injected just before the throttle butterfly. so the pipe is longer than normal so the original rubber pipe is kinked, so i have done away with the original box filter and put a pod filter on
dos that make more sence..?

dos everyone use the original intake hoses and filter box or is there some other way of making them flow better. sorry for confuzing everyone
just trying to get some ideas of how to work the plumbing out..
need to make up a box for the pod to sitt in and make some tube to go with it..

On my D1 with gas I had the 'old type' cylindrical airbox from a RR classic (I think) and it all fitted under the bonnet very well.
I use the original air intake. I think the LPG installer cut out a section of the intake so the hose didn't kink.
I want to get a snorkel as I have a second battery right in front of the air intake which I'd say would restrict flow somewhat.

I know I had pods on my County motor- same as yours- and the LPG fitter said he could'nt tune it until I retrofitted the original filter. He said there was not enough vacuum resistance. He says (I'm not so sure) it was peculiar to the Rover motors.

I believe my vehicle is substantially the same as yours and I've got some photos of the mixer install here you should find useful.
I used the original rectangular air filter box but I modified the outlet slightly by cutting a vee in the passenger guard side of it to allow me to straighten the outlet by about 10ยบ. I got a guy who does mobile plastic welding repairs out of the yellow pages to drop by and "weld" up the joint - you can see see the result in LPG Converter 2. I saved the piece I cut out which he used as a filler rod - it's easier with the right plastic to fill the gap. He essentially uses a soldering iron to do this but he's well practised at it and made a nicer job than I could have.
Doing this swung the airflow meter across toward the guard enough to accommodate the mixer ring - almost. I still had to cut a vee from the inner edge of the rubber elbow at the plenum end to squeeze it in between the airflow meter and the mixer ring - you can see this effect in LPG Mixer Ring.
I had a snorkel already installed and you can see the overall arrangement in Engine Bay.
You may notice that I've got a stepper motor type power valve installed - I put an 02 sensor in the exhaust pipe at the Y in front of the main muffler to provide the feedback signal for the controller. It works extremely well and the vehicle drives the same on gas as it does on petrol with good economy on gas.
Looks like you've already done the hard bits - this stuff is relatively straight forward once you can see your way around the problem of the tight bends.
