I run Tough Dogs (Coils and shocks) in my D2 and they are fine
And as far as knowing dynamics of suspension I wouldnt have been employed as the wheel aligner with Goodyear if I didnt
(Tuned many drift and race cars) which have more handling capabilities in there left rear than any LandRover ever would

Ive had Kings (to soft)and Lovells(to stiff (if your not happy with them they dont replace them) (Both sets of springs didnt compensate for the lean)in mine as well and they are Crap compared to TDs (Tough Dogs have given me a very capable on and off road car)
If you want to talk about mid to low speed cornering in a vehicle we arent talking race cars here its a 4x4 and your not going to notice the difference as it wont get to the point were you need to run stuts across the front or rear towers for added stiffness or need in car bias controlled swaybars to compensate understeer or oversteer for that matter
I have a good enough understanding of suspension to have set up my WRX for track work at Waneroo Race track and beat cars with more grunt but a bad setup so dont go telling me I dont know what Im talking about when it comes to suspension
The question that was first asked is do I need to have a revalved set of shocks for a D2 that has ACE and the answer is NO you dont its a pile of Codswallop as there are heaps of us that dont have especially valved shocks that run D2s with Lifted and standard height Discos
So get back in ya box and close the lid
