Ohh interesting
That ones running a pressure actuator, unlike most variable vane turbos which run vacuum actuators driven from the ECU.
The stock TD5 turbo is a GT2052S, so odds on this one being a GT2052V are pretty good. GT2052V's were also used on the VW/audi 2.7 V6 diesels and nissans ZD30.
But the magic here would be the direct bolt in. No doubt a custom exhaust housing.
John;
not having owned a TD5 i know not a lot about these engine , but they tend to put out pretty good Torque / power as they are and with a little bit of Chipping and Intercooling they go very well, seen Slunnie vehicle and it's impressive , I presume these VNT Turbo units to be kind of Pricey , and if so the Gains would have to be pretty good for someone to Justify an upgrade to one of these units ?where a Chipp and Intercooler might cost a little less with similar or better Gain?
Any thoughts on this?
That fits my requirements completely - My ECU isn't flashable. Ill have an open mind when it comes to price.
