Howdy Guys , Well I just about have no clutch at all in my disco. At the start of the day the peddle had a lot of freeplay before the clutch engaged . And letting the clutch out it engaged pretty much as i took the foot off the floor . I bleed the lines for air but none. Has the pressure plate crapped it self ? Thanks .

Sorry! Just had to be said!
Know bugger all myself! Hope you get the problem solved.
is it dropping fluid?
if its not it might be recycling past the seal in the master cylinder which is the trick big red pulled occasionally before totaly blowing out the seal and dropping brake fluid all over my left boot.
to disprove that grab a brake line clamp and clamp off the flex hose near the slave cyl then try pumping the clutch it shoud be stiff as a board (dont try too hard or you will blow something out)
how many K's are on the clock and what condition was the fluid in.
It might also be a failing of the clutch fork which means that you still have to drop the box (or pull the engine) to sort it out.

mate i hope yours is an easy fix......not like mine at cooma
Hi Dave , Has 240,000 on the clock and the brake fluid was a little low but in good nick . There is also a small clunk noise coming from the clutch area as i applied the clutch .
Check the drain hole in the bottom of the bellhousing for brake fluid. Mine did exactly the same thing and was blowing fluid past the seal in the slave cylinder and into the bellhousing. Cost about $3 for the parts to fix it.

Mine was doing that sort of thing every few months and we replaced bits more times than I can remember, it seems to have been solved now though. It was the hose breaking down.
My advice, get the Master and slave reco'd or replaced and replace the hose.
Steve.
