Hi there Greylandy, cost for main shaft about $200 plus all associated bearings and seals added up to around $345 to do the job, of course replaced the clutch whilst open at $200, all parts from Rover Craft at Mascot talk to Anthony 9700 8920, nows his parts thats for sure, ex Graeme Cooper parts manager.

Also made the effort to seal the outer transfer case where shafts normaly weep with super duper silastic type stuff from Mercedes workshop, set like concrete so far so good no weaping at all, will see what its like after round trip to Cape York next Saturday...will be interesting to see result.

I was once quoted near $800 to fix this leak by dealer, in 11 years lost about 200ml of oil, couldn't justify the cost then, glad I didn't waste the money for 200ml of oil loss.
