Thread: Removing pistons with block still in the vehicle?

    when you dont have the gear to lift the motor.....

    but yeah Given my options its much nicer to be able to turn the motor upside down to do all the checks.....

    Block and tackles/cumalongs are lendable or even an engine crane can be had for just over $200, It would be extremely frustrating doing a re-ring and bearing in car, I couldn;t see myself not chucking a wobbly

    when your in a shed in the middle of almost no where by the time you get that stuff too and fro.....

    and yes you do chuck wobblies especially when you realize that everywhere you want to swing the torque wrench something is in the way.
