Sounds toasty to me...

Our average low this month is 0.9 and average high is 9.0. The 1st July lowest was -2.5 and the today was the highest at 11.2 degrees. Crispy air... and washing!

I used it today,got my exhaust manifold off,IMPRESSED!!!!!
Couldnt budge the bolt that secures the heatshield to the turbo.Luckily 1 part of the bracket was snapped,I bent the shield up enough to spray the bolt,tried again an it came off.
Was dreading the manifold so I gave the studs a good blast then each one as I undid them,all came away easily.
Its a combo of cold shock and a release agent.Im betting on real tough jobs a bit of heat first will even improve its effect.

That is good to know - I will get some. These mainfold screws are normally on the verge of breaking when removing. I put a bit of graphite on the threads to make it easier if they ever have to come out again - have never had a problem with them undoing on their own. That heatshield cover fixing screw is in a great position - one of Land Rover's after thoughts - easy to get at with the engine out of the car. Cheers, Erich

Ditto the exhaust heat shields on the P38A manifolds. I remove the wheel well liner to get in.

They're not that hard to get at. You just need to use your left hand to feel the way for the single hex socket you would be using... Aren't you?


I agree, its good stuff. I used it the other day on the exhaust side turbo housing.

Ive been using it for 2 years, was put onto it by the bloke from CBC bearings and couldnt live without it now.

I use it all the time for Bedknife screws (13 on each bedknife, 1, 3, 5 or 7 bedknifes in a set depending on machine) and used it the other day on some body bolts on a machine that is about 20years old and they were completely rusted to the point where they were breaking as soon as pressure was put on them.

Give it a spray and out they come, didnt break 1 more after that.

Much better than heating as you dont damage the bolt or the panels around it.

I have used it for several months. I find it good but more often then not I find it doesn't help me. However when it does it is pleasing. The problem is at 16 bucks a bottle spraying each item for up to 2 minutes it runs out rather quickly.

Anybody tried a product from Momar, called "nutcracker"?

Guys at work reckon that if that won't get it out, nothing will.

At about $50 a can, it wants to be good.
