have alook at the two driveshafts and see if there is looseness.

after having my car(d2) looked over by trs, my front shaft is totally fine, yet i have a chirping noise from 30-50kph coming from the driveline somewhere. seems worse when coasting. i have a bit of slop in my front diff, which gives me about 10mm of free movement on the prop shaft.

Freelander, Defender, D1, D2, Rangie Classic, P38A, Holden, Falcon, etc? Your post doesn't contain enough info to give advice.
Oops sorry, I'll try to be a bit more vague next time. 00 D2 Auto.
