Well that ****s that, I can;t use a later centre as the locking dogs are different sizes, early are 50mm the later are 45mm
Spoke with Barry just a moment ago, great to speak to
So looks like I'm back to square 1![]()
I've heard whispers that Barry ward is doing something about making more products so it might be worhtwhile having a chat to him.

So I'm guessing that you've got the 50 mm spline
It's going to cost heaps of slabs to get another centre half machined. What are the options of the later 45mm carrier with a new smaller locking dog and re machining the axle to suit? Either way it's getting messy
For starters you can't source a 45mm dog
The option is, part off the bit that the side gear sits in, so it doesn;t have the hump, machine a spigot, then clearance the threads in the carrier, then make a flange that is spigoted and contain the threads for the keep together bolts and has the spindle for the bearing
If you get what I mean?
Machining up another half, wouldn;t be viable
Or machining off the entire face making the backside of the crownwheel flange thinner and incorporating the journal in a new flange that has the side gear as part of it, i'm only brainstorming as I dont have it in front of me. Issues I see with either method is flex and space, you could try taking material from the crownwheel to shift the centre sideways, but then you'd have to pin it to regain the strength etc etc.
Time for a toyo conversion
Mate did this a while back Dead maxi drive But Mal kept his old hemisphere![]()
