Yes, it is a tight fit but the relay will fit behind the headlight on the radiator support panel.

If you remove the battery cover, then the headlight inspection panel you can put the relay in the top left hand corner mounted to the front of the radiator support panel.

In this position it is as close to the battery as you can get and provides full power to the headlights without massive cable runs ie. eliminates voltage drops.

It will work and the headlight has to come out for it to be installed but once it is all wired & bolted in place the headlight will re-fit. If you inspect where the relay will be positioned there is one hole pre-drilled for one side of the relay. You only have to drill one hole and then it is securely mounted.

If you are concerned about water and such the headlight, inspection plate and the battery cover will keep most of the water out. The water level will be at the top of headlight height if you were to drown it.

If you like I can take some pics later today to show how it is all positioned.

Not totally on thread here - as I haven't fitted the light upgrade, ............

but I have fitted two additional relays for my driving lights and I managed to fit them into the battery box. It's a tight squeeze but I can still remove the battery without disturbing the relays.

If I get round to it I will take a pic and post

Hey Baz,

I put mine where the Jack normally goes, i put in a divider to seperate the ECU and the headlight relays. Good spot as it is close to the battery, high up and has as good protection as the ECU.

I'll go out and take a quick pic.

I put mine where the Jack went also. The jack is a POS anyway.
