Thread: Power steering flush and bleed... what a mess!

Flushed and bled the steering today.

Missus on one side of the engine bay topping the reservoir with new fluid, me on the other side with my head in the window moving the steering. Cracked the bleed screw and went lock to lock.

Man, the fluid just sprayed out all over the joint! Covered the engine, the grill and side panels, and the missus!

Therefore, a gentle warning for anyone contemplating this job.

Make sure the missus has got old clothes and a raincoat on!

Gotta laugh, don't you?

On a good note, it fixed the PS groan and freed the steering quite a bit, so well worth it.

I'll bet your Missus wasn't too impressed, crikey I'd never hear the end of it if I gave my Missus a P/S oil shower, you're right though, definitely Gotta laugh, Regards Frank.
